From Father Iain, All Saints Chiang Mai
All one in Christ Jesus!
Dear Friends,
Last Sunday we celebrated our Harvest Festival with the children of the Youth Charity Foundation. This week we will be back in church and looking at our unity in Christ and how we are no longer divided by race, gender, colour, or ability!
God has made us all different but has united us in Christ. Distinctions fall when we are made one in God’s salvation. We don’t cease to be who we are, but our creation is fulfilled in God’s wholeness allowing diversity to flourish in harmony!
How much we have to say thank you for to our heavenly creator who made us God’s children.
The following week, Sunday 10th October, many of us will be in Chiang Dao. If you can’t be there, then you will be able to join us on Zoom!
Our scripture readings this week will be from Genesis 2:18-24, Hebrews 1:1-4, 2:5-12, and Mark 10:2-16, and we will be singing the hymns Let All the World in Every Corner Sing, In Christ there is no East or West, Let us Break Bread Together, and Stand up stand up for Jesus!
We were unable to Zoom last week from YCF, but Zoom will again be available this week.
Use this link to join this Sunday on Zoom at 10:30 a.m.

Chili Night has begun!

A few of the group last Tuesday!
Everyone is again invited to the New Vicarage on Tuesday at 6 p.m. for Chili Night!
Every week, mum and I are hosting this open-house, offering chili con carne and rice followed by ice cream. Anyone can come – you don’t have to let us know, just turn up. (Although advanced notice is useful so we can prepare enough chili!)
Ten very diverse people attended last Tuesday and we had a great time of food, conversation, and fellowship.

More of the gathered!
All are welcome – not just All Saints people. Tell your friends, spread the word!
Email Father Iain on iain@AllSaintsChiangMai.com for directions or call 0 904 604 304.
Chiang Dao Retreat – Next Weekend!

A group on people from All Saints are planning to spend two nights at The Nest in Chiang Dao on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th October. There will be no service in church on Sunday 10th October, but people not joining the retreat will be able to take part via Zoom.
There is a sign-up sheet at church or let me know if you are interested in going.
Meal for Gene
Our Deacon Gene will be returning to New York for a few months and a few of us are gathering to say farewell on Saturday at 6 p.m. at the “Why Not?” restaurant on Soi 11, Nimmanhaemin Road. If you would like to join, let me know!
