Sunday Worship to Begin!

From Ken Chase for All Saints Chiang Mai

Dear Friends,

.

DSC00864-003I have taken over the weekly All Saints, Chiang Mai emailing.  My name is Ken Chase, and I am a 62 year old Canadian.  I recently moved to Thailand with my wife, Emily, daughter, Pamela, and granddaughter, Haley.  Since leaving Canada, we have lived and worked in Spain, Hungary and Egypt.

New Worship Time!

From 1st September we will worship each Sunday at 11 a.m.  We are looking forward to this exciting new service in the life of our young and growing congregation.

Each week we meet to share the Eucharist and then have a meal together at a nearby restaurant or share food at the house. Directions can be found on the Where and When page of the All Saints website.

Most people get to hear about us via the internet or by word of mouth, so please feel free to pass on this email to others.  All are welcome to join us as we share the presence of the risen Jesus in our lives! I hope to see you soon and that you will enjoy worshiping with us,

God bless,

Ken

Latest News!

Dear Friends,

On Wednesday, we once again met for worship at the home of Ken and Emily Chase, 18 Pa Ton Road, on their terrace overlooking the Mae Ping River. This week the service was followed by a small buffet meal at the house. It was good to see two new people with us.

We use currently use prerecorded organ and other music to accompany our hymn singing and liturgy.  My computer speakers are not really adequate for the task, so if anyone would like to donate some better speakers they would be gratefully accepted.

Our readings for the coming week are taken from Isaiah 5:1-7, Hebrews 11:29-12:2, and Luke 12:49-56.

If you haven’t been before, directions to the Chases’ home can be found on the Where and When page of this website. From next week, Ken Chase will take over the writing of the weekly announcements!

Worship Continues!

From Rev Iain Baxter, All Saints Chiang Mai

Dear Friends,

On Wednesday we had our first service at our new location:   18 Pa Ton Road.  There were eight people in attendance – and two lost on the way – which is our biggest attendance yet!

.

It was beautiful to worship overlooking the Mai Ping River, and afterwards some of others went for a meal at a river-side restaurant.

.

We will continue our Wednesday night worship this week.

.

The lectionary readings are Isaiah 1:1,10-20, Hebrews 11:1-3, 8-16, Luke 12:32-40.

.

It is good to worship the LORD!.

Hope to see you next week,

God bless,

Iain
