From Father Iain, All Saints Chiang Mai

This week’s service begins at 10:30 a.m.!!!!
Dear Friends,
Each year, around the world November 11th is marked as Remembrance Day. People fall silent at 11 a.m. for two minutes to remember those killed in two world wars and in all the conflicts since.
Remembrance Sunday is observed on the Sunday closest to November 11th, and so this year we will mark the day on Sunday November 10th. Our service will begin at the earlier time of 10:30 a.m. to allow us to observe the two minutes silence at 11 a.m. We remember those who have died so that we might be free.
Our readings for Remembrance Sunday will be from Isaiah 2:3-4, Revelation 21:1-6a, and Matthew 5.1-12, and we will be singing the hymns O God our help in Ages Past, Abide with Me, Will Your Anchor Hold, and The Day Thou gavest Lord is Ended! Past services and sermons can be viewed via the All Saints audio-visual page!

Next Monday, November 11th, is Remembrance Day. There will be a special ceremony at the Chiang Mai Foreign Cemetery which will begin around 10:45 a.m. so that we can observe two minutes silence at 11 a.m. All are welcome!
Everyone is then invited to lunch at the Gymkhana Club.

Transgender Day of Remembrance
On Sunday 17th November we will mark the Transgender Day of Remembrance.
All Saints’ Festival of Christmas Carols
Please put the date of Saturday 7th December for our Festival of Carols in your diaries! This took a lot of arranging – but we got there in the end! It will also be at a new venue: Nong Pratheep Church, which is across the Superhighway from Bangkok Hospital. (Directions will be given nearer the time!)
Most people get to hear about us via the internet or by word of mouth, so please feel free to pass on this email to others. All are welcome to join us as we share the presence of the risen Jesus in our lives! We hope to see you soon and that you will enjoy worshipping with us,
God bless,
Iain
