Decorating the church last year!
POTLUCK THIS SUNDAY!
This Sunday is Advent Sunday and we will mark the beginning of Advent as we prepare once more to celebrate the coming of Jesus! The service will be followed by a special potluck – people are invited to bring soup, bread, sandwich fillings, cookies and treats, or apple juice, to share, as we decorate the church for Christmas!
Our readings this Sunday will be Jeremiah 33:14-16, 1 Thessalonians 3:9-13, and Luke 1:5-24, and we will be singing the hymns O Come, O come Emmanuel, and Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus.
Past services and sermons can be viewed via the All Saints audio-visual page!
If you don’t know the way to All Saints, directions can be found on the Where and When page.
Festival of Carols
It is only just over two weeks until our Festival of Carols! It is going to be a wonderful night, and hopefully one which will raise a lot of money for the Youth Charity Foundation orphanage! Posters and free tickets are now available at the church. We will need lots of people to take these this week for placing in shops, businesses, and schools! Please take some to share!
Other Events Coming Up
Jerry Nelson from Chiang Mai Rotary asked me to share their event in aid of the Mae Tao Clinic, and Chris Tananone is part of the choir for the performance of The Messiah at Payap University. We will be giving out tickets for our Festival of Carols before the performance, so if anyone is going and would like to help, please let me know!
Christmas 2018 at All Saints
Many Christmas events coming up! These will again include a sit-down Christmas lunch – the turkeys are already sitting in the freezer! The meal is free but people will need to sign-up so we can calculate numbers, and people will be allocated things to bring! Please sign-up now!
Most people get to hear about us via the internet or by word of mouth, so please feel free to pass on this email to others. All are welcome to join us as we celebrate the Christ of Christmas! We hope to see you soon and that you will enjoy worshiping with us,
God bless,
Iain
