Our Choir at the Festival of Christmas Carols!

Dear Friends,


The weekend of our Choir Intensive has finally arrived!

Thanks to all those who have volunteered to help on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday.  Please make sure that you have signed and returned your Child Protection Form.

Our Intensive will begin at 9:30 am on Saturday at the vicarage, and helpers should arrive at 9 am for the briefing.  We have five volunteers coming from the UK, plus All Saints volunteers, and YCF staff, along with 28 children! Everyone will have the opportunity to hear the choir at our Sunday morning service!  (You can bring snacks to donate for the kids on Sunday afternoon and Monday.)

The full schedule is:

Saturday

  9:30 – 11:30 Morning Session
11:30 – 12:30 Lunch
12:30 – 14:30 Afternoon Session

Sunday

10:30 -11:30 Sunday Worship
11:30 – 12:30 Lunch
13:00 – 16:00 Afternoon Session

Monday

  9:30 – 11:30 Morning Session
11:30 – 12:30 Lunch
12:30 – 14:30 Afternoon Session

In addition, the UK volunteers will be going up to YCF on Friday night for dinner to see the orphanage and meet the kids. It should be a wonderful fun-filled three days.  Thanks to those who have donated to cover expenses!

The choir will also be singing what they have learned and composed at our Celebration of All Saints Day on Sunday 30th October!

The scripture readings for this Sunday will be from Jeremiah 31:27-34, 2 Timothy 3:14-4:5, and Luke 18:1-8, and we will be singing the hymns At the Name of Jesus; Will you come and Follow Me?; King of Kings, Majesty; and Christ is made the Sure Foundation!  The Choir will be singing Above All!

Last Week’s Sermon

Video of the Bible Readings and Sermon for the last Sunday, “God acts God’s way!” is now available here.  The video includes prayers for the children and families killed in the Thai school shooting.

Trip to Chiang Dao – Next Weekend!

Our third church weekend at The Nest in Chiang Dao is on the weekend of Friday 21st to Monday 24th October.  (The Monday is a public holiday!)   It will be a great time to escape the city and enjoy fellowship together surrounded by the beauty of nature!

Rev. Peter Tarleton will be leading worship at All Saints for those who remain in Chiang Mai.  Please come along to support Peter if you are still in town!

Do I Stay Christian?

Our new book study will  continue for ten weeks from now until Christmas!

You can join on Tuesday at noon at Bella Goose (Next week at Green O’Clock as Bella Goose is closed!) or Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Crawfords’.

Copies of the book are available from church.

We  have a very busy calendar for the last three months of 2022.  There is only one “normal” Sunday until Christmas!  God has blessed us with many good things are we have much to be thankful for!
