Our new study book!
Dear Friends,
Last Sunday we had a wonderful celebration of harvest at the Youth Charity Foundation. (Photos and video below)
This week we begin our new study series looking at Brian McLaren’s book Do I Stay Christian? It is a challenging read as McLaren addresses in public the powerful question that surprising numbers of people―including pastors, priests, and other religious leaders―are asking in private.
Do I Stay Christian? is not McLaren’s attempt to persuade Christians to dig in their heels or run for the exit. Instead, he combines his own experience with that of thousands of people who have confided in him over the years to help readers make a responsible, honest, ethical decision about their religious identity.
Join us if you can at midday on Tuesdays at Bella Goose, or Thursdays at 6 p.m. at the Crawford’s.
I shall be away this Sunday performing a baptism near Bangkok, and Mark will be leading the worship at All Saints. The following week we have our Choir Intensive and then the week after at we have our Chiang Dao Retreat. These are busy, but good, times!
The scripture readings for this Sunday will be from 2 Kings 5:1-3, 7-15, 2 Timothy 2:8-15, and Luke 17:11-19, and we will be singing the hymns Immortal, Invisible, God only Wise; Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart; O Christ the Healer; and Great is Thy Faithfulness!
Use this link to join us on Zoom this Sunday at 11 a.m.

October Choir Intensive! – Next Weekend!

Cassi and Joe
We will be having our first ever choir intensive for the children of the Youth Charity Foundation from Friday 14th to Monday 17th October! A professional choir director, Joe Novelli, will be coming from England to lead the sessions, and Joe’s partner, Cassi Joski-Jethi, who is a documentary film maker, will be recording highlights of the sessions!
We will have a two hour session each morning and another each afternoon, with lunch in between, and lots of fun activities. This is a very exciting project and we will need people to help manage lunches and other arrangements at the vicarage!
Let me know if you can help in any way.
Trip to Chiang Dao

Our third church weekend at The Nest in Chiang Dao is on the weekend of Friday 21st to Monday 24th October. (The Monday is a public holiday!) It will be a great time to escape the city and enjoy fellowship together surrounded by the beauty of nature!
Rev. Peter Tarleton will be leading worship at All Saints for those who remain in Chiang Mai.
Chili Night
Some of the group!
Chili Night will continue next Tuesday, but there will be NO CHILI NIGHT on Tuesday 18th October! Come and join us at the vicarage as we share chili followed by ice cream!
