Dear Friends,
At the beginning of this New Year, our scripture readings are all about calling! We begin with the calling of the boy Samuel in the Old Testament, and in our Gospel reading we hear of Jesus calling Philip and then Nathaniel to be his disciples.
Are we prepared to answer the call of God on our lives? Can we say with Samuel, “Here I am Lord!”? Will we say “yes” to Jesus’ call to “follow me”?

The readings for this Sunday will be from 1 Samuel 3:1-20, Revelation 5:1-10, and John 1:43-51, and we will be singing the hymns Praise my Soul the King of Heaven; I, the Lord of Sea and Sky; I will offer up my life; and Tell Out My Soul!

Every Tuesday everyone in Chiang Mai is invited to Chili Night in the New Vicarage. Chili con Carne, rice, chips, ice-cream, and drinks are provided. Just come along! (But let Father Iain know in advance if you can!) All are welcome. Food is served at 6 p.m.
